CREDIT AS AN ASSET™ Master Trainer Certification Program
About the Program
Through CBA's Master Trainer Certification program, experienced credit building professionals can become credentialed to deliver CBA’s nationally recognized CREDIT AS AN ASSET™ training to financial coaches/counselors, nonprofit lenders, and other professionals who support low-income and underserved communities in building strong credit profiles.
This train-the-trainer certification program provides:
- comprehensive training on course materials and facilitation
- full access to license CREDIT AS AN ASSET™ curriculum with the ability to adapt course materials for use in local communities
- ongoing professional development opportunities, technical assistance, and regular updates on changes in the credit industry
Eligibility and Program Requirements
- At least two years experience providing financial capability or asset building services
- Once accepted, pay certification fee and complete CBA's CREDIT AS AN ASSET™ On Demand training
- Attend a 2-day, in-person training with CBA
- Pass a post-training online exam
- Sign and comply with CBA's curriculum licensing agreement
- Complete quarterly professional development requirements provided by CBA and annual recertification requirements including recertification fees and completing the Training Facilitation Requirement of leading CREDIT AS AN ASSET™ at least once per year

Program Costs
The program fee for certification is $1,950.
Once certified, an annual certification maintenance and curriculum licensing fee of $250 will be required. Price subject to change.
Additional Information
- Travel costs and accommodations are the responsibility of the attendee Breakfast and lunch will be provided during the training
- This is a competitive application process. There is no guarantee applicants will be accepted
- The Master Trainer Certification is offered once per year
- Please only submit one application per organization as limited space is available
- This is an individual certification that is not connected to organizations; curriculum licensing stays with the individual regardless of where they are employed
